EBENEZER

Welcome to the Web Page about our band Ebenezer!

WHO WE ARE

Ebenezer is comprised of up to 6 musicians (depending on who's available), and has roots that go back over 30 years.  The current band grew out of an musical friendship that began in the mid 70's and continues today.  Rusty Crownover on guitar and vocals, Lane Lively on the same, Bob Gerardy on the bass and vocals, Geoff Ice on the harmonica, and Dr. Ron on his digital sax (which is liable to sound like anything from a Cello to a Steel Drum), and in August 2008 we turned a new page by inviting Katherine Grimm to add her vocal expertise to the band (and Bob and Lane won't have to sing those high notes anymore....yea!).  She has added even more variation to our diverse repertoire, and is a real hit with the "fans".  Thanks for singing and learning all the songs and becoming a "Nezerette".

WHAT WE DO

While most of our songs are covers ranging from the 30's and 40's to the present day (you never know what you'll get from Ebenezer), the various members of the group have also written their own songs which we sing from time to time.  You may get a 40's swing tune in close 4-part harmony, a rendition of "Sloop John B" that has a maritime feel, or one of the many "train" songs we have in the reportoire! Rusty provides the guitar leads and pickin'; Bob on the bass has extraordinary chops; and Geoff is quite accomplished on the harmonica; Dr. Ron adds so many sound colors it's really fun; and our new vocalist, Katherine has a voice that is guaranteed to please! So, come on out, sit back, and enjoy!
